2-Day Northern Tanzania Adventure Materuni & Arusha NP

Meet your guide at your hotel or airport and give a short briefing before proceeding on with the safari to Arusha National Park. In approximately 45 minutes, you will be at the gate and start your game viewing experiences right after registration.

This park known for its beautiful rainforests and acacia woodlands, the views of the Mt Meru and Kilimanjaro, Ngurdoto Crater, the largest populations of giraffes, elephants, African cape buffaloes, black and white colobus monkeys, turacos, trogons, zebras, camera-shy wildebeests, and large troops of baboons. You will take a short break for lunch before resuming your afternoon with both a game drive and a guided walking safari, offering a more intimate experience with nature as you explore forest trails, open plains, and around the Momella lakes, where you will spot large flocks of flamingos and blue monkeys along the lake shores. Afterward, you will be returned to your hotel for relaxation.

Activity of the Day: Game drive, Walking Safari.

After breakfast, your driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Materuni Village, nestled on the lush foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy a scenic 40-minute hike through banana fields and coffee farms to reach the spectacular Materuni Waterfalls, plunging over 80 meters into a sparkling pool. Along the way, your local guide will share stories of the Chagga people, village life, and the rich flora and fauna that make this region unique. Be sure to bring your swimwear the pool beneath the falls is the perfect spot for a refreshing dip.

After, return to the village and discover how coffee is grown, harvested, and roasted, then take part in the traditional grinding process, often accompanied by Chagga songs and dances a lively and immersive way to connect with local culture. Later, you’ll be transferred back to your Hotel or to Arusha/Kilimanjaro for your departure next to another destination. Marking an end of our Safari
